First glimmers

Wow – the Kindle browser is an interesting beast.  And while I have grown to love it (like you would love a bald hamster, say) it does continue to frustrate and delight in equal measure (like a bald hamster).

Hidden away under Experimental on the Kindle’s menu, you have to turn from Basic to Advanced mode to get a meaningful experience.  Then you have to turn on JavaScript.  After that…it’s quite nice!

This is the delivery mechanism that Puzux has chosen for its crosswords and Sudoku.  The challenge then is trial-and-error: finding out what the browser can do by trying to do it, scrapping everything if it doesn’t, then trying something else.

BUT progress has been made.  Don’t believe me?  Take a look:

Nice.

But what can it do?

The Amazon Kindle makes a rather nice photo frame.

Both developers are happy that they got the Kindle to do something…
